The BEST Lemon Ginger Immunity Shots (Blender-Friendly!)
My husband was buying these expensive immunity shots from the store that were literally just ginger, lemon juice and honey (likely pasteurized honey, which depletes the benefits). I decided why not just make them and save a ton of money while giving him something he’ll actually take every day to support his health?!
These immunity shots were born and he LOVES them! He says they taste just like the store bought ones and the ginger burn is so good. Like you can feel the ginger killing viruses as it goes down 😆
The benefits:
These immunity shots are so delicious and are so good for fighting colds and flus! They have immune-supportive ingredients that help kill infection, reduce inflammation and support a healthy microbiome.
Lemons are very rich in vitamin C and contain natural fruit bioflavonoids which make the vitamin C that much more effective.
Ginger is antimicrobial and supports digestion, giving these shots a real good burn that you’ll love.
Turmeric root supports gut health, soothes inflammation, reduces pain and promotes healthy microbial diversity in the gut.
Oranges contain vitamin C to support the adrenal glands and give this drink a delicious flavour and some sweetness.
Real salt provides a boost of minerals, such as sodium, magnesium and potassium, which support the adrenal glands and help with energy.
Raw local honey contains powerful antimicrobial properties to kick colds and flus. It also helps support seasonal allergies.
High-quality spring water has natural mineralization and is free from toxic chlorine, fluoride and other harmful substances. This is a must for gut health and immunity.
Black pepper and coconut oil helps activate and aid the absorption of the powerful anti-inflammatory curcuminoids found in turmeric buy up to 2,000%!
INgredients
Juice of 2 lemons
4” ginger root
1 tsp turmeric root powder (organic)
Juice of 1 medium navel orange
2 large pinches Redmond Real Salt
1.5 tbsp raw local honey
2/3 c spring water
Pinch black pepper + tiny bit of coconut oil (these ingredients help activate the curcuminoids in the turmeric)
Choose organic if possible, but none if these foods are on the Dirty Dozen, so if you can’t, that’s ok!
Directions
Wash and chop all your ingredients. I keep the skin on the ginger, but peel the orange.
Add just the ginger with water to your blender and blend. Then strain this through a nut milk bag.
Then add all your ingredients including the ginger juice to a high-speed blender and blend until fully liquified. I use a Vitamix and blend for about 40-50 seconds.
Blending all the ingredients with the pulp helps make this more blood sugar-stabilizing instead of removing all the fibre.
Store in an airtight jar for up to a week.
Enjoy!
